NS help, i fucked up big time...

so last weekend I was doing yard work for my moms boyfriend all day, they left around noon or so because they were going away somewhere for the day and night, while I was doing yard shit for him I was going through his garage for yard equipment and boom, in a plastic trashcan were 5 handles of glorious, beautiful alcohol

long story short, there was a brand new bottle of jack Daniel's that I just couldn't leave so I took it, got a call from my mom asking if I took one because now theres only 4 left... and of course i denied it

so
confess and apologize?
or just keep denying it?

Yeah you shouldnt have denied it because now your just looking like a fool. Should have gave him 30$ and thanked him for the night you didnt remember.

just confessed and was honest about it, they were mad but happy i told them, afterword my moms boyfriend asked if i had fun with it haha
