You talk as if a belief in evolution and a belief in God/Christianity are mutually exclusive. They are not. Millions of Christians believe in evolution. They do so because the evidence is so overwhelming that it is essentially considered fact within the scientific community (exactly the same way the 'theory' of gravity is considered fact). They just view evolution as the vehicle by which God created life rather than believeing a literal interpretation of the bible.
Now to me, the prospect of the USA having a president that doesn't believe in basic scientific theory is petrifying. This is someone who has the responsibility of managing the most powerful nation on earth. He has to be trusted to weigh up evidence and make hugely important decisions. Now if he doesn't even believe basic fucking scientific theory does how can this fill anyone with anything but concern?
now explain how education run by the private sector would work/be better.
I'm not saying the govenrment does a good job at it and i agree with most of your points. i dont expect our gov't to change anything because as you said, they wont. I was just saying we need a change.
not necessarily. We should try to fund an overhaul. this is what i want to happen. will it? no.the probability that it wont happen doesn't change my view.
with our power and money we could divert from the military, we could easily fund a new system similar to Finland's
because we need the overhaul and a new system which would be tax-funded and government-run.
Now please answer my question about private-sector run schools.
