I like him far more than the other remaining candidates, but I would probably vote for Obama over Paul. I don't really agree with his economic policies and isolationist foreign policy. While I certainly do not agree with our involvement in the Middle East, I don't think we should pull out of the UN and dissolve NATO as Paul wants to do. The US has always been a policing force in the world and although it does cost money, I believe it is our duty to protect human rights and prevent atrocities given our position as a superpower. I also have a huge problem with his views on nuclear proliferation. Paul would do nothing to stop nations such as Iran and North Korea from developing nuclear weapons. Anyone who preaches about constitutional rights, but has proven again and again to be a racist, is not a good candidate for President. His anti-abortion stance also disagrees with his belief in the rights of the individual.
woozy, I have a question. Why exactly do you think students are becoming less intelligent? I understand that you think more spending isn't the solution, but I would like to know what you think the solution is.
