Do you think torrenting should be band from the internet? Meaning we have to buy everything we want to listen to or do you think we should have our own free will to download whatever we want? If its on the internet i think it should be free. Thats my opinion. Torrents are easy.

But there are so many torrent websites being shut down for its illegal use. Thats lame as shit.

sopa is the biggest bullshit piece of legislation out there... and also on the department of state website(had to look through it for us gov) stupid @$$ hilary clinton was quoted saying how she believes that the internet is a good free enviorment that enhances our freedom of speech and expression or something like that... the irony was amazing

in the end, its illegal and we dont need all that crap media we download there (or get from people who do it, doesnt matter).

i have like, idk, 50-60 gigs of more or less hand-selected music. but that doesnt mean that i appreciate music more or whatever.

when you have to pay 10 bucks for 10 songs or so, you might be more selective in what you buy and not just get every single shit you can get your hands on.

same with movies. yeah its nice and shit but if they wont be available, i would probably buy them and rewatch the good stuff a few times and appreciate it more.

were so overflooded with media, its not even funny and we all could live with WAAAAY less.

I agree with that.

Its kinda like the idea:

its not pure quantity that is good, but rather quality of quantity that is.

I think torrenting has become so easy that so many now just download entire discographies just because they can do it in a single evening. And pay nothing for like 100 bucks worth of musik.

I still think its ridiculous that torrents have a bad name just because of illegal downloading. Its so much faster than basic one source downloading and we continue to disregard that.

Will you just rewrite your post so i can see what you mean? Cause i tried re reading it this morning and still was like what the hell. Only if ya want. ha. I agree with everyone here. We are all voicing opinions. Sopa is a joke in my opinion.

agreed. i have so much stuff from so much bands but i probably only listened to like 20% or so. and REALLY listening probably less than 5%. i imagine some kid in the 70s getting his led zeppelin album and play it up and down for a week straight while doing nothing else then listening.

i just have it in the background. i like that it is like that, but i seriously dont need that much music.

True. I've only bought like 20 albums in my life, probably only 3-4 after I discovered Kazaa in 2002. Just having music has become a bit irrelevant and I do feel much more emotional attachment to artists' whose albums I actually own.

If downloading music became illegal, I don't think I'd spent any more in albums, I'd just go to gigs like always and maybe listen to the radio more.
