Just dropping by to give a cautionary tale for those looking to buy stuff from Empire Attire. I am currently embroiled in the second dispute I have had with them over gloves. A couple years back I ordered their first gen park gloves and it took them almost two months to get them to me. It wasn't until I sent them a reminder email that I had bought something from them that I received my gear. This sets the backdrop for part two. Over the past five months or so I have been trying to deal with them over a pair of gloves, the Colorado Mittens, that my girlfriend ordered for me back in October. They were supposed to be a present before the season started for our anniversary. Our anniversary comes and goes in November with no word or sign of the gloves other than an order conformation email when she initially bought them. At this point I'm thinking, ok last time it took a long ass time maybe it's still on it's way. December shows up, no gloves. We email them asking what the deal is and I get the reply of we're sorry, we'll fix it right away. Right away turns into another month of emails because they need more details about the order (we gave them everything we had in our very first email). Their customer service rep said he would skype us to get it figured out (we live in Japan). He never once called on Skype and eventually just said that they had been shipped to us in January. When February came and still no gloves had arrived we emailed him again and got a snippy reply saying that they had been busy with X games, SIA and ISPO so they hadn't had the chance to ship them in January. He also said that they had been shipped on Monday Feb. 6th. It is now almost March and they have still not arrived (mail from the states takes about a week and a half to get here). The gloves are no longer on their online store which leads me to believe they have sold out and are trying to buy time until a restock. They have also, at no point, refunded the 90 dollars that were paid for them despite being asked. Sorry this ended up being a novel but I am just miffed at how they can treat customers like this. I missed out on having decent gloves for an entire season because of their mistakes and delays. I see shit on their fb and blog all the time about giving out free gloves at comps and yet they can't even provide any for their paying customers? I hope this is a good lesson and you all don't make the same mistake I did and buy gear from them.
Sparknotes: Ordered empire gloves back in October, it's now March and they haven't arrived despite our best efforts to get it sorted out. They have kept the money paid (90$) for around 5 months without sending any product. They have awful customer service, don't buy their shit.
