People With The Same Skis as You

Is it just me or is it that every time that you see someone that you don't even know with the same skis as you, you feel the need to be better than them. Is this a real thing, or am I just crazy?

It used to happen to me all the time. Everyone had a pair of rossi scratches. Now I rarely see anyone with the same skis as me. It's been two seasons since I've seen another pair. I feel like I'm behind the curve with upgrading my skis :(

this reminds me of the time when the Salomon 1080 was essentially the only viable option for a park ski for a year or two. After that, it was a slow start to getting a selection of skis to choose from.

You kids today... geez.

It's more like a "haha look at demmm skis, what suckers wouldnt buy these they are soo much more chillll haaaa haaaa".

I have Armada THALLS so this tends to happen a lot.

I ride at brighton so everybody has surfaces and I don't judge them at all by their ski choice. probably more than ten percent of brighton's pass holders have surfaces.

on the other hand, I typically assume someone's better than me if they're riding dps. the only other pair I have seen at brighton belongs to a patroller whose name is kink and I assume slays. I saw three or four at alta today, one guy on lotus 138s skiing untracked pow and totally blowing his chance at a perfect run on them and I was like rofl sucks.




and no you giant douche at no point did I feel the need to be better than them. you're not crazy, just an idiot.
