Is it just me or is it that every time that you see someone that you don't even know with the same skis as you, you feel the need to be better than them. Is this a real thing, or am I just crazy?
Never seen another pair of Boone Magic Sticks in person. Probably a combination of living on the east coast, and Boone's "reputation" of poor quality... though mine have held up perfectly for 2 seasons now...
not exactly the same but last week in obertauern, austria i saw a kid with the same jacket as me (the oakley thall fari jacket), he was downhill and spotted me uphill so i skied down to him, said "nice jacket dude", fistbumped him and skied off :)
It used to be so awesome having fks 180's because nobody would have a similar looking setup because the bindings stuck out so much. Now I have to listen to every little kid tell me that we have the same bindings when in fact they have the fks 140's, then when I point out that they're actually different (din and toepiece) I have to listen to their scrawny 110lb ass try to tell me how they wanted to get the 180's but the shop didn't have them. I miss having such a unique setup, and dont enjoy explaining to a 110lb 14 year old that they don't need to ride their age in DIN.
