imo torvinens was better last year, his new one was sick but his 2011 had a number of mind=blown tricks in it. 4 pretzel 2 on the keystone flat down was crazy though

oh I'm sure he's amazing. but the edit doesn't show it at all. and if, like eheath says, it's based off a well rounded skier then he's probably out of luck.

the deadline is normally january 31st which doesnt leave a lot of time for the backcountry to get good and going normally

Ya but most edits have a lot of 10/11 footage anyways. I was actually hoping for a lot more backcounty, and well rounded segments.

I want torvinen to win, and sandy is my second pick. But I feel like sandy will win because of his pow urban and park shots and all were pretty banger. He has a different style then a lot of people at level 1. And I feel like sig's riding is al ot like torvinen and thats why they wont pick him.

also nothing against austin, but after you enter SU once and you dont win, you probably wont win if you enter again. If berman wanted austin he wouldve picked him the first time, same shit happened with martini.

He is the only one who showed he can slay all terrain. yeah, he wasn't the smoothest of the finalists, but he showed a big bag of tricks (left, right, diff grabs, etc) and comfort on so many features. Because of this, I think it's a one man comp.

was he a finalist two years in a row? and i think austin has entered like 3 times now? i dunno. Austin is a great skier and he's gonna find his place, but IMO i dont think its with level 1.

Actually I think it's a switch 12 or 14, or something ridiculous like that. He entered the comp with a switch 5 as his biggest sw spin, in a day or two he made it up to that crazy amount of spins kids crazy

I am thinking Austin should win, because he has been a finalist so many times, but also he is not very unknown anymore...

Heres my picks:

Austin T - Overall win would like to see more urban
Anton Jansson - Basically perfect edit, and dripping with style
Dominic (Last Name) - Such fucking sick urban shots, the kind of shit we need to see in Level 1's films
B-Mile - Just cause the whole thing was so dope and he is so young, kid is going to be my favorite when hes older i can tell, but he probly shouldnt win superunknown and he should go film with inspired

Man, I cant believe Austins switch 180 on, 360 off wallride is doing so well on best trick. How does that beat the 100 kink, wall slam, step up lipslide, alexs up-down rail, or any of doms.

I really level 1 will reward people who dont have 100% park footage. Doms or alex's shots would make a banger level 1 edit. Austin's edit didnt show anything unique, or an asset that level 1 doesn't already have.

I agree, austin is a sick skier for sure, but he doesn't really bring anything new to the table for level 1. I think that truckdriver rodeo was probably the sickest best trick, that was tight.

I'm new to park skiing and haven't even rode a season of it yet, but i watched all of the edits. every single one of the people in these edits were dope as hell. I particularly liked dominic lomparte's, sandy boville, and austin torvinen. Torv had mad steeze, he was throwing down on the park. but dominic had a lot of good stuff all over. as did sandy.

I think doan has a good chance at taking this. His style is so fucking fluid and his jump game is on point, which is exactly what level 1 would want for a spring shoot. His style is like a mix of level 1 riders anyways so he will fit right in.
