Park and urban are actually not the same thing. Case and point is bobby brown vs. ahmet dadali. And I personally think they always look for people who can do it all, pow, park, urban and everything in between.
umm no. just check again tonight, and you'll see that two new superunknown videos are up.
all the honorable mentions has been posted though, but the finalists are dropping everyday this week
Honestly, so many "dirty" smooth tricks, little taps, many things that showed that he has control and could do much more if asked to. Perfect candidate IMHO. If he doesn't win this, he could go places at least in the Harlaut/Casabon oriented minds!
But also depends on what L1 has planned for the winner this year. Logan was the first special one to get a little Alaska thing going, I haven't seen AfterDark so I don't know what happened to last years winner, was it just a park shoot invite again or something else?
I guess if you really thought it was that bad, you can. Aside from the opening line, which was not even so much because of your post in here, I felt it was perfectly respectful.
I also appreciate the fact that instead of even trying to answer the question I posed (which you didn't really answer in a PM either), you simply threaten to post a PM. Integrity move.
You say you feel a lot of the cuts are maybe too quick. That's fine; to be honest I felt like that too. But you have to understand that there is a time limit and the rider wants certain shots in there. We had to do a lot of chopping to fit all of those shots in, and yeah, some parts are definitely rushed.
But please look at the posts above. People are saying that flashy editing or good filming shouldn't put certain videos ahead of others. That's true, and the same can be said for bad editing or bad filming. of course, that's barring it being so bad that it is unwatchable, but clearly that isn't the case for Noah's seeing as it is a finalist. It's a skiing contest, and as long as each shot shows the takeoff, trick, and landing, that should be good enough. Anything more is a bonus. I assumed you realized this, and maybe that will help you see why I saw what you said as a poorly masked insult, considering we've had our differences in the past. It probably wasn't, and in that case this conversation is over. If it was, we can continue in a PM.
I'm not all bent out of shape over this one thing in particular, I just thought it didn't make much sense at all.
wallisch could still win every superunkown to date. and lol 2 of the honorable mentions slayed wallace in competitions i saw this year. i think noah is real sick but hes got a crazy amount of sponsors.
The winner should be truly unknown no huge sponsors or anything. I think wallace already has a pretty damn good chance of making it already.
I dont understand how people can call wallace's skiing sub par. He has clean spins BOTH ways, style, solid rail game (and if you don't agree watch some of his other edits), and proved he can send it off huge stuff- that rodeo 9 was absolutely massive. The dubs were on point too. Also, look at his last year's superunknown, kid progresses like crazy and thats worth considering. Its funny that people complain about his skiing being sub par then praise another skier for his taps and shiftys lol stupid.
throughout most of doan's edit i was like, yea super steezy but sort of the same old, ross's was way more creative, but then doan had some super weird urban stuff towards the end so now im completely torn. Also doan really did remind me of delorme especially the cork tail to nose it was just like in refresh
