im looking into getting a new coat and i was just wondering what brands you guys would recommend i was thinking of ether getting a saga or a north face

Are you looking for a powder coat, a side country coat, a park coat, an all around coat.


Specifics.

for powder or side, get a shell, not a saga (not that i have anything against them) a trew, northface, helly Hanson, Marmut, armada has some decent shells as well (what i have and i fucking love mine)

for park all around, you really can't beat bloom/saga.

I believe saga is a shell, and I know bloom is a shell, albeit a heavier one. It's still fine for hiking; I use it for slackcountry on the regular. Just remember to unzip the vents and you're good to go. I'm sure the same goes for saga based on all the reviews I've read, neither are insulated.
