thought it would be fun to start a thread to list your current fav brands and most hated brands.

Neff-
Is anyone else tired of seeing huge neon smiling faces on shirts and hats. Hate this brand with a passion don't know why. I just never have gotten it and have a hard time understanding why they are so popular. Maybe its just because its worn by 13 year old who usually drive me crazy anyways. Not sure but this brand bugs

Nike 6.0-
Don't get me wrong they have great gear I just hate how they have moved in and taken over ski, surf, snowboarding, skate without it being core to who they are. And they just throw money at pros who can't refuse it because it is so good and all the sudden they are a core brand. They are hurting some of the core brands that have been in the struggle since the beginning and I think its lame. They get so deep into the sport you almost feel that they are legit, but Come on if they start making ski boots next i'm boycotting Nike all together. Wish they would stick to basketball and track. They haven't done anything to advance any of the sports they have jumped into. Just bought their way into it. They even bought Hurley to legitimize themselves and now Nike 6.0 is probably bigger than Hurley. A few years back the sports weren't mainstream so they didn't care. Now that these sports are mainstream they jump all over it. Not digging this much.

Like armada, great skis good prices Dislike. SWIX, i know a lot of people on here are talking about monopolys and such useing the term improperly, wile swix is not a monopoly it still owns over 50% of the ski wax industry and they use this market share to control prices, wax is so marked up because swix marks up thier prices tremendously, wax cost to make is very little yet companies are still able to sell small bars for 50$+ small companies that make very similer waxes that cost very similer amounts of money to make are able to sell a bar of wax for $10, swix has the ability to control ski wax prices and they choose to mark up the prices far more than is needed

Armada my ar7s have held up awesome such a fun ski
Saga got my first pair of pants this year from them and they have held up awesome unlike older pants
Oakley I have loved oakley since a kid personally think they have the best eyewear and i also love their outerwear i have never had a problem with it

Dislike:
Salomon My 2012s are fun but they are falling apart and i tried to get a hold of them through email but they didnt have one tht worked so im convinced they use a telegraph
FD i just think their full suits are the ugliest things i have ever seen but the plain stuff is alright but i cannot completely say i hate them i have never owned it

I like volkl skis - superb German quality. I have had a ton of sunglasses over the years, I have been sponsored by Briko, Bolé, and adidas, and don't think they are close to oakley - I have used scott and anon and K2 goggles and again Oakley is my favorite. today i have 4 different oakley shades with 7 different lenses and a Splice gog with 3 different lenses.
I love my Salomon boots Custom fit race with sidas insole.

I had a jacket from Columbia, that sucked water like a sponge = don't like

Like : saga - quality goods, love this. Armada, comfy stuff and good pricezzz. Line : the guys are sooo chill , really nice ( same with FT ) and some more i dont remember ... Hate : FD , shitty designs , i just dont like them.... Nordica... I just dont know why but every time i see nordica stuff i wanna throw it inside a nursing home on fire . Seriously

Best:

Line - their price point skis are garbage, but their other skis are good, and they support the skiing community.
ON3P - great vibe, great skis
Armada - They do everything, and they do it well
Saga - Well priced outerwear at a great price.

Worst:

FD - Ugly, poor quality, designs that make no sense like randomly places zippers and pockets.
Boone - no explanation needed.

Like:

Line- only for 2 soul reasons. first product. their price point skis (abang mastermind blend) are crappy but are not ment to be high end skis. but the higher lever skis chronic and all of polards skis are made verry well. but the most important reason i love line is that they dont have any really jock athleets that are are contest whores and posterboys they stay true to who started them and made them who they are today. skiers like will andy lj and the rest who are not in it for comercials and big checks from mountian dew but do it for the joy they get from sking and thats it.

dakine- all their stuff is impeciable quality and never had to replace it and their gloves are the best i have ever owned.

armada- great skis. good vibe from the company. and cool outer wear. ar7s are the bees knees

smith- great googles and helmets. pluss when used together no goggle gap :)

dislike:

 First drop- did buy some hoodies and even a jacket from them and i can honestly say they were the biggest pices of shit i have ever owned  the fit and designs are terible. and i think Lesh and D-devine are the biggest fags to ever walk the planet and the y are incoherent stoner bastards

Nithward- dont like the company in general never skied their skis but all the issues and the bullshit are what scared me away from them.

Line. Idk how you can say their skis ride like crap or are horrible quality. I'm not including the pricepoint skis. Any ski under $450 isn't going to be top quality. Ridden line skis hard for the last 5 years and will continue to do so. Such a great company and riders.

Dislike:
Boring skis, salomon, rossi, volkl, bleh, no fun.

I'll put this out there, Dakine makes a great product, I got a couple bags that I really like, but they're so overrated when you compare pricing and quality vs other brands.

ok i stand corrected. Jarden owns k2. Jarden also own nuk- baby bottles, and Coleman camp gear. so coleman is a sister company.

Favorites. Rossi for skis and bindings, great skis and the best bindings.. Salomon for boots, outerwear and bindings, steezy, good outerwear, reliable bindings and the only boots that fit me. armada for outerwear and skis, Good quality really sick outerwear and some of the best skis I've ridden. Oakley, the best goggles and nice outerwear, don't like the huge oakley logos they put on everything though, I like Scott, cool designs but not the best lenses.. dislike first drop because it's ugly as shit and it rips like paper. Salomon for skis, everything that you could say about salomon has been said. I like the pro pipes though. Boone (lol), don't like 9, they're just ridiculous.

Surface (I know, they don't make the best skis, but I can't help but like the brand)
Joystick (They make good enough poles, they look good, and again, I like the brand and what they stand for)
Causwell (Good looking, quality outerwear, same other shit as Surface/Joystick
Rossignol (I've known a Rossi Employee for a long time, and they make sick skis, and are actually comprised of a really cool crew of people, despite their cover image of frontside ski instructors)
Lange (Good boots)
FT (Good boots, in a different respect than Lange, but I'm losing respect for them, I think)
Smith (Awesome goggles, on top of their shit, good looks, good customer service)
Ashbury (Snowboard brand, but: Good looking goggles, mostly image)

Dislike:

Line (Their poles fucking suck, and I've never really been a huge fan of their skis.)
Oakley (Tanner Hall Shaun White gaper pandering eyewear company of goggle arms, nose jewels, and pro models)
FD (their shit sucks and looks terrible)

Oakley:  Made in the U.S.A, so I've always been a fanboy.  My first pair of sunglasses that I ever bought when I was 10 was Oakley's, and that's all I've worn ever since.  I love their ski team, and I've always felt that they've been really supportive of free skiing in general. 

K2:  So far my revivals have held up very well to my gaper abuse, although they are a tad heavy compared to some of my friend's skis

Outdoor tech:  I just love my yowie to death, it's so warm!

Level 1:  I've always loved their movies and I love my tall thermal that my girlfriend got me for valentines day.

Dislike:

Line:  My dislike for Line mainly sprouts from my dissatisfaction with the Afterbang.  When I bought them I knew nothing about skis, and my local pro shop (who mainly sells line skis) sold me an over-priced setup that was too short for my height.  I thought the ski sucked pretty badly, it was way too heavy and was like a noodle.  I love their team though, and I do own a TC tee.

Red Bull/Monster/any energy drink:  Now before I get shitted on, I absolutely love how much money they put into the ski industry and how they fund events and stuff like that.  I just think their drinks are absolute garbage.  And of course every athlete drinking out of their sponsor's can/water bottle after an event is just brainwashing little kids into chugging that poison daily.
