People would come to a rail jam I hosted in my backyard. On a friday night.
To compete its $5 and if you win you get $30 and 2nd and 3rd get $10
The setup I have is 2 flat rails. 1 up box. pvc up rail. and a flat box. Possibly if the snow is nice a tree bonk and a kicker. We have 7 lights all tall single lights that light up all the back yard 100%
We have 4 judges a judging a table, and a viewing area. 10 foot NICE drop in. Anyone is able to come. There would be 2 heats. Skiing and snowboarding. A microphone and a portable speaker so we could have an announcer. Possibly a DJ to.
Would people come?

pictures of the set up would be nice. and it probably depends on where you live. the pirzes would have to be worth it for people to drive out to where you live

Depends on how well you advertise it. Prize money is a little on the slim side imo

I would definitely go. If its super mellow and laid back, pretty good prizes, different age categories maybe, and a sick setup that is well groomed and not sketchy.

OK the big problem though is I live in a gated community which sucks. But we could clear people through. Also i'm not intending on having more then 20 plus riders hahah. But yea the prizes arent really that good until we could get sponsors for the jam.

sounds like a good idea just make sure its chill and not super competitive u could also contact local shops, companies or big companies to see if they wanted to donate any small prizes .

well seeing that you are from Colorado I bet it would be super easy to get people to come. I wish I lived anywhere close to you, cause it sounds super fun! please post pictures of the set up if this happens, cause it sounds like a ton of fun

yes. we did this over the summer and setup sponsors and got real rails. it takes a lot of work to do this, and you need to stay committed and have a very solid plan if you want it to be dope. heres the final video of our outcome. and we are doing it agian for the third year now. any questions, lemme know

Yup the night of the jam we would move the speaker that I have in my room outside we would have a mic. The only problem also is it would be kinda hard because my backyard isnt long. Which means it would be standard 1 or 2 hits in a run :(
But I think it would work out no  doubt

i did one last year on my summer setup but the only kids there were my friends and my brothers friends so it was more of just a session but i gave out prizes that i found in my house, you know just like bandanas, a pair of gloves, old goggles little stuff like that. we had lights set up and i was judging and blasting some beats so it was a good time im doing it again this summer with a better setup and imma try to get someone to sponsor it and get a lot more kids to go

And yes it extremely sucks and yes laugh all you want about the stereotype. But I am trying to move out soon.

thats pretty sick. only problem is people need to know your credible. I dont think random people would just show up at your house. could be a rape dungeon. pretty good idea though.
