Season's over for me :(

although there's still snow out there on mt. hermon, my season is over.
not due to injury (thank god) but because i'm starting college and need to save money and skiing here in israel is mad expensive :(
i watched some scenes of Being There and After Dark and it virtually hurts my soul knowing i won't be skiing anymore this year, and not sure if i'll be able to ski next year..

well, at least i got 31 skiing days done this season.

23... it's pretty early i know but we've been dating for over 5 years...
also- most people in israel start college around 23-25 because of the military service (after wich they will need to save some money, and most of them would also travel the world before college)

Where are you going to college? I'm applying for a masters program at Ben Gurion, in Haifa, next year. I have only been to Israel once but it was beautiful and what I saw of the community was so impressive. I took a boat to Haifa from Cyprus and then a bus to Jerusalem to visit a friend who's a curator of some museum and took me all over the place. Great food, gorgeous girls, everyones armed it seems like, I would love to live there for a few years.

i'll be studying in Technion Institute of Technology, that's in Haifa.
Ben Gurion is in Be'er Sheva (southern israel).

dude going to school in haifa would be sick. You would get to rage in Tel Aviv every weekend. I hope i can go to Israel soon. Not a huge fan of their foreign policy or anything but the country seems amazing.

there's only one resort in israel- Mt. Hermon..it's about 3-4 hours drive away from tel aviv, doesn't get a lot of snow usually but this season it has been opened since the begining of january..

actually you can see armed soldiers around there but it's not a big deal, i've seen military trainings around european resorts as well.. also, for me it's even less of a big deal because part of my service was there so i know some guys and i can ski spots that are basicly restricted for army uses only :)
