Country Music In a Ski Edit?

I recently viewed a video with a country song in the background. The skiing was great but the music ruined it and made the edit unbearable. In my opinion this music does not belong anywhere near skiing. Country if for the dirty hicks down south not for riders killing it in the park. Maybe I'm wrong tell me what you think.

Dear A.Kispert, country music may not be your thing, but it's a genre with a rich tradition, a long history, and many very good artists. I used to hate country music too, until I realized that there's actually a LOT of good country to listen to; and I'm not referring to the shitty pop-country you hear on the radio, which is no better than any other form of popular music.

Anyway I think it's great when people experiment with music choices for their edits and choose something they really like, rather than something they think is cool. I've always wanted to drop an edit with some jazz tracks...

To all of you who only want to watch skiing to gangster rap, or the newest dubstep song, shut it. Music choice allows you to express your personality and where you some from through your skiing and editing. Ben's creating some controversy, and I'm sure his ski style and video stand out alot more than your typical newschoolers edit.

I actually really enjoyed team Canada's Joss edit, but to me it wasn't like the country we hear on the radio these days. There is a line I guess between what country songs sound good and bad, in my opinion at least. Good point

I think that as long as the music works well with your footage any edit can be dope. In this case for example, I liked the edit overall, wasn't too stoked with the music, but the skiing was tight. I like country music, but I'm not the biggest fan of songs that sound like glee trying to do blink 182.
