Skis for park/powder

+K to any suggestions on helping me pick a set of skis that i can take out onto powder but also light enough that i can bring it in the park and hit some rails and jumps, pretty much i want these skis to be my 'one ski quiver' so they need to be able to do a mix of park and powder riding because i like riding both.

I want something playful with a good flex in the tip/tail and something that will give you lots of pop off jumps, camber/rocker/flat/rockered doesn't really matter, you decide. Keep in mind I'm 5'11" and 145 lbs, i ride pretty aggressive and can do most features and runs with ease. My budget is sort of at 400$ right now.

im considering getting the rocky mountain underground diam skis if i decide on spending that much. Can anybody speak for those skis or RMU itself?

actually, now im really interested in getting a pair of rockered skis.... something similar to the surface one lifes or k2 hellbents. How would either of those handle in the park if i want to hit some kickers here and there and some rails every so often?

those are definately more of dedicated powder skis... take a look at icelantic nomads, line sir francis bacons, and armada tst's, just to name a few.

i have a pair of hellbents and they arent the best for park, just not nearly as easy and fun to throw around but they are amazing for powder, rip through everything

and what mountain do you ski in British columbia?

I have a friend that had the same situation. A great ski is the Armada ARV ski, they are a durable ski that is playful and fun for the park yet will destroy the powder from what I have heard! Or a ski that is a bit more powder dedicated check out the Armada TST!

grouse mainly, sometimes cypress and seymour. I'm thinking of something in between 90mm-100mm underfoot because that seems like the best medium for a park/pow ski.. also, for my riding stye and mountains of choice which type of ski would be most suitable as in camber vs rocker vs rockerd and so on... I know it comes down to personal preference and riding style but which one would do you personally like the best?  +K to all the help!

id look at the fujas or obsetheds from k2 before the hellbents. the seths are fatter with more rocker than the fujas - rated 80% pow 20% park. the fujas are probably a little closer to a one ski quiver - only 102mm underfoot, less rocker, and are rated 60% pow 40% park.

I ride Line Sir Francis Bacons in the park.
I had a quiver but now I'm basically not bothering. I've had a fair few park and pow skis over the last 3-4 years but the Bacons seem to do everything just fine so I'm stepping back to one ski for now. This year I've ridden about 90% park due to lack of snow and i love the bacons, especially for rails and jibbing.
Bit over your budget but when the sales come around, I'd grab a pair for sure.

Yeah I wouldnt recommend hellbents in the park. They arent quick enough or snappy enough to be what you want in a park ski imo. I think fujas or blends or something like 100 underfoot are what you want

I would say that the line blend fits that description pretty well. It might be a little out of your price range though. (look for last years if you want to save some money)

damn... im stuck in between either the kung fujas or the blends!! both are soo sick and they fit perfectly for my style of skiing.

Which out of those two would have the most 'pop' and forgiveness for landing backseat/frontseat??? and overall which ski would you pick and why?

I flexed a pair of blends in the shop an they seemed unbelievably soft. Hard to say because I haven't actully skied them, but it made me pretty interested because they would be so playful and easy to butter. I would probly just go with the pair that you can get the best deal on, unless you can manage to get on a pair and see which you like better.

Of the two, the Blend but they are very similar.
The Blend is a bit lighter and poppier. The Fujas feels a bit damp to be a park ski to me.

I haven't found a single situation I prefer the Blend to the Bacon, but I presume they are available for cheaper.

One of my friends had the 2012. He loved it. Not sure what he has now but i think he still rides solomon. Great option here

blends seem to be the general consensus, where do you ski though? definitely keep in mind that you don't need a huge fat ski for pow, especially not if you're a good skier like you said.

vancouver mountains mostly so cypress,grouse, seymour.. sometimes whistler/blackcomb.. I really like the blends but i do have a serious budget at only 400$ for the skis so I narrowed it down to a few i've considered..

2009 ninthward rory silva pro
2010 line blend
2011 rossignol s5 jib

my favorites of freestyle skiing are 540s, 360s, huge 180's, all sorts of grabs, jumping off cliffs, powder, terrain parks.
