yo guys, my brother is a senior and he is going to MSU next year and I think I'm going to go too. I'm a junior right now. I live in WA right now. I like to smoke weed a lot, wanna live somewhere to snowboard a lot. MSU seems like a cool place? Just trying to get some info on Bozeman/Big Sky/MSU scene.
Well just from living here and skiing Big Sky, you seem like you would fit in pretty well, that is if you don't mind the small town aspect where there isn't anything open after midnight, and you like a place with nothing really to do besides outdoorsy stuff and skiing/boarding.
Big Sky is straight up awesome. Amazing mountain to improve and do anything you really ever wanted to do. Not a bad park scene that seems to be getting forever better. Lone peak is full of possibilities to get your big mountain skiing sense tingling. and the tree/pow skiing at Big Sky is within itself great. That is maybe not this year in particular, its been a rough year but statistically and just the terrain that is here all that is true. Big Sky also has the bus that picks up form campus and you can buy a punch card for cheaper then gas. It runs all week but the last bus leaves at 8 so its a bitch if you have any classes. The price this year for the punchcard was 40 bucks for 23 rides and thats roundtrip, you pay to get there and the return trip is free. It's a nice charter bus too so thats a plus.
For your weed comment, again you will probably fit in quite well here.
as regards to the school, MSU is pretty sick, but i recommend coming to check it out for yourself.
Yeah I visited last week and got in one day of shred at Big Sky and toured the campus as well, it seems pretty dope. But no problem with the small town aspect I come from a small town so I feel like I'll fit in pretty well. Thanks for the info!
Bozeman doesn't really feel like a small town. Since its pretty isolated, they have everything a much bigger city might have. When I think small town, I think kids ride their bikes in overalls to the local ice cream mom and pop shop. Bozeman is definitely a suburbanized new-cali town.
