Brand new skis stolen / Why do the ski gods hate me so?

Fuck.
This Thursday, the 23rd, I was at Black Mountain of Maine for my ski team's state meet. I was unable to race because I am still recovering from knee surgery, so I was just casually riding my twin tips because that's all my doctor said I could do.

I go in for lunch, come out of the lodge, and my skis were gone. And my poles wernt even were I had put them. I looked for hours and even the next day because my team had another race.

----They are '10/'11 Volkl Ledges with the white and black '10/'11 Marker Squire bindings----

It was my second day using them and I hadn't even been able to ride them hard because of injuries.
Let me sum up my season for you:

First day out - November 6th. On the fifth run of the day, before I could even hit the park, a snowboarder blindsided me by crashing into my back and breaking my right arm.
Out for over 7 weeks.

Second day out - December 27th. Get to use my new skis, but riding easy because my arm was still in a cast, didn't hit the park. By the end of the day my knee was so swollen I couldnt even walk on it. Turns out my meniscus is pretty badly torn from the crash in November.
Out for over 8 more weeks.

Third day out - February 23rd. Second day on new skis, but riding easy because my knee still isn't fully healed. Halfway through the day my new skis get stolen.
Out for God know how long. Debating whether I should even ski again for the rest of the year.

So anyway, IF ANYONE SEES ANY 10/11 VOLKL LEDGES WITH 10/11 MARKER BINDINGS, POSSIBLY WITH A WHITE UNDER ARMOUR AND WHITE OAKLEY STICKER ON THE SKIS, PLEASE HELP ME OUT AND REPORT WHOEVER HAS THEM. PLEASE.

oh man. im in NH and ill keep a look out for them for any chance they might be around here.

thats some bad luck man. i hope they turn up and your year and can turn around that sucks

Call your homeowners insurance they covered my DH bikes wheels when they were stolen. If you have a good umbrella policy they will cover near anything

That's why I love my lock, personally I dont care if I look like a 'tool' when I lock my skis up, even if I just go to the bathroom. I had my skis stolen 2 years ago and it sucks, thankfully I got them back, but the 15 seconds it takes to lock your skis up can save you in the end

I know how you feel. I leave my ON3P Filthy Riches for 3 minutes to go get food and they are gone. Good thing I looked everywhere and found them hidden behind a table. Fucking I have no respect for people that steal.

Woops, accidentally posted that, meant to include this. Track meet last week in New Haven, CT. Put my sweatshirt on my spike bag as I go to run my race. Come back, my shit is everywhere, can't find sweatshirt. It was a team sweatshirt, my name embroidered, state champion thing on the back. It was $100ish, who the guck steals shit like that. Btw, I'll look out for your shit if I'm up in NH.

Feel bad for you man, my brother had his stolen last year, it sucks. Something i always do if im skiing with a buddy is split skis and have 1 of your own skis and one of your buddies and leave them miles apart so they're not as easy to steal. Gl getting them back, i would have a lookout, but im in UK :(

sorry to hear that.. i have only got one thing stolen and it was boots.

i had just crashed on a gates course on a practice night so i went back to he buss and it was just idling there. and i was pretty broke up. so i tossed my skis and boots under the bus. and by the time i got back to the school when we were getting our stuff my new 1080 boots were gone.. i fucking raged so fucking hard.. but with those boots they stood out. and every kid i saw with them i would ask them

and then one kid was like. :"yeah i stole them" now keep in mind i am about to beat the shit out of somebody, i ask how did you steal them. and he said he yanked them from a sports store. and alas the fucker who stole my shit is still out there


one time i was rding with a buddy and some one stole his board but he saw them in the parking lot. beat the piss out of this kid.. like no joke the kid pissed his pants..
