Hey all,
Don't be too jealous, but myself and my fellow ski club members managed to set up a weekend trip to Mt. Baker.
We've set up homestays with alumni, gotten transportation with our Outdoor Rec program, and the lift tickets will be payed for by the student government club and orgs fund.
I checked the regional forum, and I couldn't find any recent threads about Baker, and I figured a new thread was justified so I could share my victory story.
We have a variety of riders, ranging from NS skiers to intermediate snowboarders who fall pretty often. If the snow is good (it's baker duh), we will probably all ride together on runs that can accommodate a variety of skill levels. The good kids can huck off the moguls and cat tracks and whatever.
I would like to know a bit more about the park/good natural features to huck off. Everyone I know who ski's at Baker can backflip--I think it's just because they have cushy landings to practice on--so I def wanna try some new stuff this weekend.
Spark notes*
I'm going to Baker, what runs should I make sure to hit.
