Alleged $15 trillion missing? British Lord Urges investigation into alleged
This guy seems mighty nervous making this speech. Rightfully so, if there's any credibility to his claims then there could be a major shitstorm. After all this is the British House of Lords
About a year ago, some dude made a speech in the House of Lords about some super rich group which was willing to bail the UK out of recesssion, by lending billions of pounds... might be the same guy. I think he referred to it as association x or foundation x or something.
Also, I should probably just add that this guy is probably just crazy, and everyone just puts up with him for 10 minutes a day. After all, it is the House of Lords... you just gotta put up with him till he passes away.
Watching this on youtube as I type. This seems pretty ridiculous, a dynasty worth 30 some trillion dollars? That number is so insanely and unrealistically high, that is almost like 700 times the worth of the worlds richest man, or more than twice the national debt of the US.
It's not that he's crazy, it's very clever use of Parliamentary Privilege to protect himself. If he had made these claims in a newspaper or court, the Riadis and HSBC would have pursued him and either taken out an injunction, or worse, sued him for libel. The story would never have gotten out, and he would be forbidden from reporting it, especially if they took it out in a UK Court, which has strict libel laws, and under whose jurisdiction the MN Lord falls.
Secondly, it's a secure way of ensuring the information goes on record. The Hansard of the UK Parliament is one of the most detailed and accurate records of any institution in the world. If anything should happen to him, the information he undercovers will be on the record ad infinitum, rather than being erased from the public conscious.
Oh no, I wasn't saying the method he chose to voice all this was crazy. It would indeed be the best way of making sure the information is passed on, if what he were saying is true.
I was referring to him being crazy. Probably senile and losing his marbles. Or his fellow peers are playing some cruel joke on the poor fella. Or he received emails from a Nigerian... haha
Plus, even if what he were saying was true, we would never know... anyone else with any knowledge wouldn't say anything, and anything with that much money behind it has the power to cover up anything. He didn't really provide enough details to really discuss anything, although I'm sure conspiracy theorists will have all sorts of stories already.
I stopped listening when he said that some man was worth 30 trillion. That isnt even close to reasonable. That is enough to give every man woman and child on the planet between 4000 and 5000 dollars.
