So today i had a pretty cool day. Decided to go hiking over here in Japan up Mt Yotei, about an hour or so in my snow shoe breaks (couldn't get a hold of any skins/touring skis) so i went back down and started walking home by myself, i was pretty frustrated as you could imagine as the walk was going to be around 2-3hours so i started sticking the old thumb out. Not long after a Japanese family pulls over, they spoke little English but could still half communicate with me and invited me back to their home for coffee. While at their home the father invites me to hike the volcano later in the week, he then said he would lend me some touring skis + skins for the hike! Then after all that he drives me to my front door. Possibly one of the nicest things that anyone has ever done for me i was so stoked!
