ive been thinking, jokingly but seriously, of running for mayor of Rutland, VT..and here is my reasoning
one of the biggest issues every canidate brings up is school reform, and the drug problem in high school and older. Now while they give great speeches on curing the problem, it never works. More heroin is on the streets of my town now then ever before
who better to know the actual PROBLEM and SOLUTION then someone younger in age. Now in no way am i saying 'i have a sure fire way to cure drug issues', but from a standpoint of being two years outve high school, the issue is much more relevant and seeable (is that a word?) to me. Everyone talks a big game around here, but nobody changes it
Between the school issues, act 60 (school funding allocation..i watched as my school went from one of the richest in the county, to the poorest when we had to give all our money away to other schools) which hurts many schools, and other issues, id LOVE to run for mayor
plus it would make for a great documentary..but im not really doing it..i just think of it every time i read the 'insert blank for mayor'
