Sizing up my quiver

Hey guys, i am looking for some opinion on ski size for changing up my quiver. I want to grab some new park skis next winter and am looking at 170cm ish, but have not narrowed it down to a specific ski, although the ON3P Jeronimo looks like a good option at 171.

For powder skis i came across some used volkl chopsticks at 175cm and I have done a fair share of research and comparison between these skis and the surface new lifes and i ended up picking the chopsticks, I am 5'7, almost 5'8 and weigh 130, is the 175 going to be too short? I feel with the design of the ski the 185 might be too much for my weight, but the 175 almost feels too short.

I am intermediate-advanced skier, and do all aspects of the mountain generally well but not exceptionally. So i feel a little shorter might be easier to work with, but i still do enjoy charging, dropping cliffs, and i like to screw around on whatever is on the sides of the runs.

for powder skis, it all depends on where you're riding. most of the powder at my mountain is in tight trees on steep lines. (Mt Hood Meadows) I rock the 172 LINE Bacons.

I'm 5'7'' and 140lbs

If I were to ski on wide open terrain with big drops everywhere (Whistler) I'd probably step up to 178-185cm skis.

It all comes down to the terrain. Are you going to have to whip them around in tight trees a lot, or bomb massive shoots?


As for your park skis I think you're dialed. I ride 170 AR5's and they are perfect. just quick enough to 270 out of rails, but stable enough to stomp clean on park jumps.

Ah i missed that detail, thanks for the help so far. Id be skiing Brighton and Alta, Utah. For brighton's trees i want them shorter but for Alta's steep terrain i want them longer and am simply torn.

longer is better, just my personal opinion. if you are a strong skier you can still be quick in the trees with a big ski.
