Replying to Catch and Release Fishing

In a class that Im in we were discussing the viewpoint of one specific first nation group on catch and release fishing. Many indigenous people feel that the relationship between man and animal is one in which the animal presents itself and gives itself as a gift to the hunter, and in the case of catch and release fishing you are greatly insulting the fish, who presented itself as a gift, by throwing it back into the water. kinda blew my mind to think of it that way.
