Carbon Poles

What's your opinion on these? Are they worth coughing up on or should we just stick to aluminum poles? I've never used em so I don't know.

I got mine for $25, and they're great. I wouldn't buy them at regular though. There's plenty of sweet poles out there though, so don't worry too much.

just get 10 dollar poles, so if they break, u can just buy new ones, and it doesnt matter

I can't get Goode poles, i'm looking at getting an Ultra carbon.

Goode makes carbon snowboards and skis too. I was looking at their website and it made me laugh at the crappyness of their skis.

GOODE fools. Find them they are worth it. I stole mine from the rental department at my shop. I think they are graphite and they will not break because they flex. They're on ebay probably.

I've been thrashing a pair of Goode carbon poles for the past two seasons and they're good as new.

see....people can vouch for it...GOODE is worth the effort.
ebay them, goode.com, wahtever.

yeah, snow skis aren't their main market,so to speak.
however, they are SO not crappy( yes, for you an i...butfor the average skier? ) just super light and super tight.

what the heck is the point of super expensive poles, i know at least for me that i never use poles except for in the lift line, so it seems kinda pointless to me. i would say get the cheapest ones possible

any pole will break. I've bent/broken aluminum poles. I've had the Goode composite poles crack and splinter to crap. And I completely broke a graphite pole. Best bet is just to get what is cheap and light. Graphites or Aluminums. Composites/etc are heavy overpriced crap. (unless you find some good pairs in a dumpster)

Yea GOODE makes good stuff. I still hold they make crappy skis/snowboards. But if you are a waterskier, GOODE is the shit. (it's kinda wierd that they make both)

I don't think I'm gonna spending 100$ US on GOODE poles +shipping, when I can get a wicked discount on Ultra Carbon poles for around 50$ Cdn no shipping.

k2 came out with a publicenemy pole this year thats a little more grab friendly but there carbon fiber , i prefer aluminum cous ive jumped with carbon poles and had them snap and splinter all up in me
