Replying to Considering going to U of C

So I'm thinking of "moving" from Vancouver to go to U of C in September. Right now I'm deciding between that and UBC. I have a bunch of questions about U of C and Calgary in general.

-Is C.O.P. always icy? Is it even worth going to? Is there bus transportation to it? Is the park open at nights?

-How long does it take to get to Lake Louise or Sunshine or similar? Which is the best for mainly park riding but pow riding when the snow is good? I'm not backcountry trained, but I like to ride pow and hit medium sized drops etc.

-How is the residence at U of C?

-Is there a massive Asian invasion at Calgary? I don't mean to be racist but in Vancouver universities it's like 80% of people are Asian, it presents certain difficulties.

-How is the partying at U of C?

-Are any of you in the earth or geophysics programs right now? What should I expect?

-Does U of C have a ski/board club? Is it good?

Thanks for any help! I just want to get a basic understanding of what I would be getting into if I decide to go out there before having my parents spend a bunch of money so I can go check out the university.
