Nikon Lens Reccomendations

Hey there,

So I've been shooting (photos and video) with my Nikon d5100 for the past year and have been loving it. I Have the standard 18-55 kit lens, standard 55-200 VR lens, and a 50mm F1.4D lens.

Just wondering what lens I should save up for in the long run. I tend to shoot more photos that video.

+K for suggestions. My price range is that of a Grade 12 student... haha

with a high school budget, why not get the tamron 17-50 and the nifty fifty?

Other lenses worth saving up for are the 80-200, tokina 11-16, and you can never have enough primes (buy Nikon)

nifty fifty = 50mm f/1.8, super cheap lens. If you don't need autofocus (video), then I'd look into vintage lenses

Sell the kit lens and the 55-200 and get a 18-105 and either a wide angle or tele.

get the 16-85 to replace your kit lens, it's amazing! for video it's not as great since it's variable aperture, but i love it for photo. you could also check out the 24-120, or if you like UWA stuff then the 12-24 f/4 or tokina 11-16

my favorite lens i have right now is my 10.5 fisheye, as it is great for images and videos, but it is a little costly
