Just started watching it and I have come to the conclusion that the hosts of this show officially have THE best jobs ever.

The OG TG is where its at. Ive watched most of the American ones too on ONDEMAND, and damn, there are some decent parts, but for the most part it just makes Americans look back. Esp that Jersey dick.

watch the winter olympic episode from a while back. They strap a rocket to a mini cooper and take it ski jumping, then they play hockey in cars!

The BBC one where the two Ski-Basers race the RS6 Avanat to the bar is one of my favs. Probably b/c that car get me hard on multiple levels!

they just did a feature (maybe 18 ep 2?) on nascar, which was actually pretty good....

tanner would be the only good one if he had a personality. he is a forgetable race car driver adam and rutlidge have no business on a automotive show. James Richard and Jeremy make top gear what it is. Without them it sucks without them its top gear america. They had an opportunity to make it sweet but if someone who knew what made the british version sweet would have created the american version it may have had a chance. The hosts of the british show have a chemistry, they bounce off of each other so well.

Favorite episodes are season 9, episode 5, where Jeremy makes that safety video about the dangers of railroad crossings.
season 13 episode 7 with jay leno, and the advertisements with all the explosions for that VW
season 15 episode 4, the one where they build motorhomes and Jeremy has that ridiculously tall modern home that gets pushed off a cliff.
I can't wait till the next season is on Netflix

Top Gear is my favourite show of all time, no doubt.

As for the american one, they completely missed the point when trying to replicate it. It isn't the cars, the challenges, or the trips they go on...it's the chemistry between the presenters and the presenters themselves that make the show what it is. America seriously screwed up on that aspect, and that's why their show eats dick
