watch louif paradis who is the king of correct. he doesnt "press out" tricks. he keeps them in between the feet unless hes doing a blunt slide or tail slide. the reason its more respected in snowboarding to keep it centered on most slides is that it is more difficult and takes more commitment to be directly on top. with the exception of locking in blunt slides and tail slides only girls and gapers press out their styley moves. when youre out there all squatted down over your tail or your nose like jamie anderson you look like a clown.
its off topic but just wanted to make the point that just because it may look cool doesnt mean it is. its pretty easy in snowboarding to do a bunch of bullshit spin around swivel shit thats hard on skis and is sick but not on a snowboard.
skiers have been doing presses. which brings me to another point. i think you guys need to start differentiating the presses. if your sliding sideways and bring the rail under your tips, called nosepress i believe on skis, you should start calling it noseslide. and tailslide for the reverse. this is of course depending on how you got on the rail like it is in skateboarding. the reason i say this is because on boxes you can also do straight forward nosepresses and tail presses that. just a thought.
