Replying to Edit Critique!
So excited to finally have some material for M&A! I've been a long time browser of the forum and am very interested in progressing as a filmer, just as a skier.
Ok, so, here's the deal. I took a day to shoot this with my buddy, just kind of messing around/getting used to filming. I would like to know where I can go from here to improve on. I'm using a Canon HV30 with a Cheap-o Wide angle and a Glidecam. Editing with Adobe Premiere. I have After Effects but don't know where to start with pairing it with Premiere.
First, I know some of the Glidecam shots SUCKED, but I'm still getting used to it. I would appreciate tips and tricks for high speed follows with my Glidecam especially.
Second, I know some of the colors are off in some of the shots here. The variance of lighting conditions in the ever changing skies of upstate NY seemed to throw me for a loop. Overcast is a bitch, how do I handle it?
Third, yeah, sure, I got cheap with some transitions/that stupid focus effect in the beginning, what should I do INSTEAD to put my work to the next level?
Any advice/feedback you can offer me is very appreciated!
