Northeastern Skiers

Im going to Northestern next year for college and as much as I understand that Mass skiing sucks, I have been told that Nashoba Valley is decent.  So I was curious if anyone on here went to college in the Boston area and if there are normally rides going up/some other way to get to skiing on a somewhat regular basis. I know it wont be a ton but a little would be good.

not in college im iin highschool but wachusett is about as good as nashoba

Im going for mechanical engineering and I will probably just stick with the engineering LLC so Im around people in my classes. My main concern is how to get to the mountains without having a car.

I've been to nashoba a few times. Its tiny. Its like 600 vertical and has 6 trails or something like that. But from what I remember its park is pretty sick.

I go to Northeastern (also a mechanical engineer). You will meet people with cars that drive up to VT/NH/ME every weekend. Many mountains are within a 2-2.5 hr drive from Boston, including Sunday River, Loon, Sunapee and Okemo to name a few.

There is also a ski team and NU downhillers club that arrange trips.

im a freshman at northeastern this year. the closest real ski area is loon which is like 2 hrs away. someone already said the NUdownhillers but theyre great for weekend trips.
im also on the ski team which is a ton of fun if your into racing.
theres not much for public transportation from boston unfortunately.
