Gaper gap = style?

ive been seeing a few edits and ive noticed that a lot of ppl are starting to wear their helmets really high off their goggles, is this cool now?

What is trendy now is the goggles under the helmet. Which alone looks kinda "special" but after a huge bomb or a few laps it's just goes into mega gap mode and looks extra "special". Pretty sure that's why your seeing it.

well it not only isn't nearly as safe, but it makes you look like a gaper, hence the name gaper gap

We coined a new phrase this weekend btw. It's called "gaper clog". Basically it applies to anywhere on the mountain or in the lodge where gapers just stop in a group and leave no way around them. I went into the lodge to piss and was stuck behind about 5 gapers slowly trotting their way out the door. Immediately outside the door they all just stopped looking around mouths agape. My buds were right there waiting and chuckling at my dilemma. So as loud as I could I yelled "GAPER CLOG, WHAT THE FUCK!". My buddies were dyin laughin and it became the phrase of the week. Every time we came up on a bunch of em standing in front of a booter or nice little drop we'd yell GAPER CLOG. It scares the shit out of em. Pretty funny stuff. Inb4 cool story bro.

Yeah I seriously mean no hate. But every time I see it, it reminds me of a special ed kid. And nothin against special ed kids either but it really makes the shape of the head look tardy.

This. Alex in the video above is not rocking a gaper gap. When the goggles are under the helmet, you have to tilt the helmet back to pull the goggles up. Sometimes I forget to put the helmet back down and ride that way on accident but sometimes it is comfortable and helps ventilation. It sure as fuck isnt going to help you when you fall and I don't think it looks that cool. When I see it I see laziness more than I see someone trying to be steezy.

The gaper gap just indicates a helmet that doesn't fit, so you guys should argue over how less effective or not the helmet becomes when it does not fit perfectly.

Sean Pettit rocks a HUGE gap. Usually filled with fun-pow after he's just dropped a massive 7 off a 50ft cliff for our summer-time viewing pleasure.

I don't judge.... unless it's combined with a one-piece and snowblades, and it's not Gaper Day.

it's because stupid jibber kids feel the need to wear fre$h beanies and goggle straps under their helmets so they remove all the padding but their helmet still doesn't fit right so they've essentially undermined the fit and safety of the helmet while simultaneously giving themselves gaper gap

sometimes i wonder where human logic comes from. actually i always wonder that

Why would anyone bump this? Anyways, the day I day because of my 1 inch gap between my goggles and helmet is the day you can tell me I died because of a 1 inch gap between my goggles and helmet. I personally think it looks cool, but that's just me.
