Summer skiing: Woodward vs. Windells vs. COC

What is the best ski camp to go to in the summer. I'm thinking about going to windells.

I hat 18.5 metric tons of fun at Windells back around 2007.  After seeing what they have to offer in recent times, I would have to say that Windells would be your best choice.

Although I haven't gone, I'd add MHSSC to the list (half the price of most/all camps) and lots of positive feedback from other people.

Not really.
It's mostly skiers. And there are a lot of great skiers.

I'd say go to Windells. But if you can't afford it, go to MHSSC. Half the price of Windells.

COC, they have the best overall park and the snow is a lot better than windells and woodward hardly has any snow

woodward in pa is dope. since theres no sno you do fly beds, foampits, and roller skis. its also sick if you blade, bike, or skatebard

Windells park is over a mile long during the summer months, no other summer camp has that much private terrain and lifts.

I went to Windells over the summer and had a ton of fun. Even on a day we couldn't ski we went into down town Portland. Food is really good and theres always tons of it. Coaches will only make you do what you want and none of them are pushy. Off-hill there is a ton to do Xbox to Airbag jump and everything in-between from biking, skating, tramps and what not. Got some really good deals on gear from the sale in BOB where coaches and counselors sell gear they don't need. Saga usually is there with tons of gear to give away. Loads of demos from FT,Dalbello, LINE, Armada , Surface and Atomic. All around fun place to go The campus is set back a little bit into the woods so theres trees everywhere. Really good vibe there.Exceeded my expectations. Probably gonna go again. Hope that helped.

COC. Amazing park, Amazing coaches, Whistler village is soo much fun, Compound is so much fun, so much free stuff. Plus ken is like coolest dude ever.

COC for sure, the coaches are sick and the after ski stuff in whistler is awesome because they let you free in the village until 10pm and the whistler skatepark is one of the best in the world

Mt. Hood Summer Ski Camp. First on Hood. They've been doing the summer ski camp gig for over 30 years.

Go to WIndells or COC if you have enough money to, but if you want to save a few bucks and get just as good of coaching go to MHSSC. Plus Mt Hood is a super chill place to ski at in summer.

WOODWARD AT COPPER MADE ME SUCH A BETTER SKIER! GO! It is great for trick progression. Go here if you want to learn some new tricks. I learned so much! Not crowded, super fun, cheaper, epic and helpful.

It sounds ridiculous, but to be completely honest, I learned WAY more at Ohio Dreams (and took it all to snow no problem) than I did at Windells. Windells is more of a place to go ski for a week than to really progress yourself, not to mention the coaches actually want to teach you, and not "deal with" you while they are skiing and filming for themselves.

Come on up to COC. We have the largest best summer slopestyle park on earth. We don't just hot lap one jump or a couple rails. There are so many different lines for every ability that it's crazy. With beginner, intermediate, expert and pro lines for jumps and rails, you can progress so fast it's crazy. It's totally normal to find new lines on your last day of a session. Nowhere has a park that is like COC's. It's built to be one of the best snowparks winter or summer and the pro's that ski it say the same thing. There's a reason pros that work at other camps come to COC to shoot their ads and their check outs.

With Big Air Bags set up on small and big jumps no matter where you are at on the skills scale you can learn tricks into Big Air Bags so you can learn quicker and safer.

We also ski the longest of any camp around. We get on the lift 15 minutes before anyone else, don't have a leisurely 1.5 hour lunch in Horstman hut, as we have a huge smorgasbord lunch in our park so you can build an epic sandwich and keep skiing. We ski right till 3 pm every day. At Mt. Hood campers are lucky to be skiing by ten and are done by 2 according to coaches that have worked at both places.

After skiing all day you can actually ski all night too. We have a water ramps replacement called The Launcher that lets you learn slopestyle tricks with out having to hike a thousand stairs, shiver or swim. You slide down a artificial snow track as you are pulled up to your desired speed for the trick you want to learn. It's the future. Our new snowflex rails are also available for skiers to hit until 10pm every day. COC - So much skiing, so little facepainting.

Best of all camp starts at $445 to $695 for a week of just sending it. If you want the ful meal deal it's about $1885, hundreds of dollars less than both Momentum and Windells.

woodward at tahoe is going to be awesome. ive been inside and used equipment there and its sick. From experience mhssc was amazing last year and i had a ton of fun there.

My friend told me that at WaC the coaches will actually teach you stuff unlike Windells where they pretty much just get drunk/party and film for their edits... which is why I'm going to WaC this summer as well.

To the OP: It's kind of tough to say straight up which camp is the best and exactly which one you should go to. Of course all the ski summer camps out there are awesome, but they all have strengths and weaknesses as well as a variance in price. If you really want to figure out which is best for you, do LOTS of research and ask LOTS of questions. Lastly, just because a camp does not seem quite as popular or hyped as others, does NOT mean that it isn't just as good if not better.
