B&E vs Other comp skiers..

I have a question for SG, after watching the latest B&E show, and seeing phil and henrik absolutely slay the snowbasin course, i was wondering if the tricks that b&e do are up to par with Tom Wallisch's, Bobby Brown's, Nick Goepper's, etc. I know that the tricks that tom/bobby do are doubles and you don't see a dub out of phil's run..but the grabs that b&e incorporate with their tricks put them up top imo, you don't see grabs on rails or stalefish rodeo 9's with twall or bbrown. Phil did a truckerdriver grab to a 270 out..imo, thats on par, or even harder to do than a pretzel 450.

Im just curios to what you guys think of this.

BTW, I'm NOT ranting about judging, this just came to my mind while watching the latest b&e.

IT IS A DIFFERENT TYPE OF SKIING. Your title says "B&E vs Other comp skiers". Your itself it an oxymoron. Harlaut and Casabon have made it clear that their skiing isn't focused on winning competitions. Yet you just described them as competition skiers.

These threads are just clogging up space.

Ya, no shit it's a different time of skiing. This thread isn't about them not winning competitions i'm just wondering if NS thinks that the tricks they do are on par with other comp skiers.

"slopestyle" has now turned into arials. They judges are 10 times gayer and want boner spins with some gay ass grab thrown in there. They have no care for the style and steez that henrik and b dog can bring. If it were a style competition, no doubt Henrik and B dog would win.
I'm glad that these skiers aren't converting to the technical, boring to watch tricks that comps now bring.

Comp skiers like Bobby, Goeper, Thorin, Henshaw are a bunch of faggots. No creativity, no style, not fun to watch. They'd be better of racing, where its all about the thightest outfit, nobody cares bout style, and its all about being better/ worse then others. They seem to forget our sport is called FREEsking, not trying to prove ur best. Go raciing faggots, while B&E are the kings, who havent fogrotten skiing is all about fun

Plus relating directly to OPs question: yes, bdog and edollos tricks are much much more difficult, require much more balance, technique and air-timing. Comparing one of edollos doubles to a pencil style comp skiers dub is just like comparing latest Ferrari to a car. While both can transport you(meaning do their desired job), the Ferrari takes much longer to aquire, is more pleasant to look at, is way more advanced technically.

Still prefer B&E to BBrown and TWallisch. Henrik and Phil show us that the word "FREE" in freeskiing isn't dead (yet). But that dosn't mean that comp-only skiiers are faggots. I still like to watch a good muted dub 12. But the flow involved in E'dollo and B-Dog tricks is so insaaane! It's not about steeze or "robotism", it's all about the hype and the true spirit of skiing. Just watch Henrik's face when he got his planks on! He's beyond stoked to ski! And that's all about this.

Generally the reason they do poorly in comps is not because the judges think the tricks aren't hard enough. its usually because they're runs aren't as clean as the top guys. Thats what i've seen anyway. They tend to get deducted for sketchy landings the most.
