Atomic Punx vs Armada AR7s

I'm 5'11 to 6 ft and about 175 lbs. I ski in the northeast and am looking for some twin tips for mostly park but for occasional groomers as well. I have it narrowed down to Armada AR7s or Atomic Punx. If cost wasn't an issue, I'd get the AR7s but I can get the Punx for $100-200 less and I've heard they are good skis. does anybody whos used these skis have any advice? I can't decide if it's really worth dropping that much extra money. Thanks!

Punx for the win! Nothing like buttery symmetrical goodness

Punx are a little lighter but not as stable as the ar7s, if you are going to be doing some groomers and want to be able to carve go ar7s but if you do lots of rails i would say punx are better, they are both super light poppy skis so you cant go wrong either way

not even a question, go for ar7, the punx's edge will break in no time

All edges will crack when you're skiing park. That is a terrible argument

i love my ar7's. its worth the $ imo, but in the end do you want a stiff ski (ar7) or a buttery ski (punx).

Both are great skis, since you can get the punx for that cheap by all means get them

ye thats for sure... hum no my friend broke 3 pairs of punx this year and i never broke my k2(we ride about the same amount of time). so yeah punx durability blow cocks. your argument is invalid.

Edges cracking in general is a terrible argument. I've broken Atomic Thugs before, I'm not bitching though

you dont understand how weak the edges of the punx are. the guy im talking about who broke 3 pairs is spons by atomic and he know how they are shitty but he get them for free so he just dont complain about that. but i would personally never buy punx because of the shitty edge. and every know that armada durability is really good so idk why he's wondering which skis he should get. but hey, thats just my opinion.

My punx are very light, poppy. I've had a lot of issues with atomic bindings though, so stay clear of them, they release poorly, and sometimes rips the brake out. I don't like how soft and unstable they are, but coming from the invaders they are surely a step up. Haven't rode the AR7 so don't have any thoughts on that.

I second this. After my 4th trip to the hill, I noticed I already had a handful of edge cracks. Now they are pulling out. I've never seen such terrible durability in a ski. They also lost their pop pretty quick too.
As for the AR7, I've never ridden them, but i have heard great things about them. I have the Alpha 1s (made by Armada) and they are looking much better regarding the durability.
