How good is astroturf?

Spent a few hours making this setup and I tried it without turf and it wasn't BRILLIANT, but it wasn't bad. I was wondering if when you have astroturf on and it's wet and soaped does it get a lot more slippery? because it's gonna cost me £58 for astroturf(90$) =, it's 2.4m high by the way

are you using a whole sheet of astroturf, or do you plan on cutting it up and fastening it to each individual rung?

Fasten the astro turf to each individual rung. It will be cheaper and also faster since there is less friction

My drop in is 8ft tall about the same steepness and I covered mine all with astro turf. It goes super fast to the point dont even need to put water on it. (usually put a little). Anyways getting to the point just go for puting a full sheet doing individually is too much of a hassel.

those bars that the turf will go over look like they might snap, I would put diagonal 2 by 4s under them to support them better.
