alright im new to NS but i think this is the right spot. i want to do a rodeo this weekend but im confused on the motion, is it just a lincoln loop with a half twist? oh and i completely off? any help would be great
It's a weird rotation, but if you get it in your mind you will have no problem. It's kinda set in between lincoln and backflip. What I think of it as is throwing my left shoulder back behind me, bringing my feet towards where my left shoulder was, and reaching for japan with my right hand. With your head look back behind you up and over your left sholder and you should come around quite nicely. Just gotta huck it, once you get the first one out of the way they are easy.
okay dont try to carve in or anything. Assuming your spin left , maybe even go off more towards the left side because you might drift the the right. I used to, a lot. To the point where i would sometimes fall right off the side lol
Anyways, what i do is pop off both feet open my left shoulder up so it is facing up and to the left. While doing this you want to bring your legs up behind you and sort of up above your head, head turned to the left and right arm going down conveniently to grab japan. once you get to probably half way through you will see the landing and you are golden, just put your feet down. that sounds like it wont work but it will.
The thing with rodeos is just setting it properly. You do that and you will come around to your feet every time. Once you get the hang of it you're golden. If you can do them on the trampoline then you will be fine off a jump. After the first couple tries it comes easily.
wow thank you all i was getting alittle worried at first you would all just be douchebags about it but thanks and hopefully ill get the balls to try it tomorrow.
i haven't done one on snow yet because the size of our jumps but i can do it super easily on a trampoline so once i get the chance im doing a lincoln and then once i land that right a few times i will hopefully try a rodeo :/
when I first threw rodeos I just threw it as though I was going for a insanley flat 3 and it brought me around in a more spin then flip style (odd explanation I know but hey it work). Also the entire trick I was just thinking about looking up the landing once I landed.
