I'm sick of all the threads saying "which skis do I get", "what length", and all that crap. Not sure if there's already a thread like this, but post all of your questions here, using the same format and information you would in your own thread, and we will do the best we can to try and answer you.

thought so. I'd go with the 171 though, not only would it last you longer, but its better to have a bit longer ski than one that's too short

Alright, so I am currently skiing the ace of spades at 171cm and like how they ski but I am looking to buy either a new pair or a used pair of skis. I am 5'9" 160lbs and have skied park for 1.5ish years. I would say I am advanced but im still not that great at riding switch. With that said, I am between 2007 used(of course) line invaders that are 171cm and are in decent shape and come with bindings or the brand new ninthward butterlicious skis at 180cm but dont come with bindings. Our season here in western Pa is pretty much over so I dont know if I should buy new ones or used ones. I dont want to spend over $215 for a new pair(so thats why im looking at the 9thwards). Any advice on which of the two skis to get would be great and +k to whoever can help me out! Thanks

I could but I'd have to mount and remount each time and I'm not an expert on that so I would have to pay each time....so that won't work.

mount and remount? take the bindings off yourself, then bring them into a shop to get them put on. Shouldn't cost that much

okay, Im 5'9 and 140 lbs. I ski mostly rails and am a pretty good skier. i want a ski thet i can butter on.

 I was thinking about getting Armada Halos but im still not sure. Also i want the ski to be below 400$

my buddy is about your size and he broke an el rey in half on a fall that shouldn't have done any damage, i'd check out the domains or punx, both are amazing skis

I want to get skis that I can ride the park in the morning but ski the powder once the sun comes out I'm thinking about the sir francis bacons the salomon twenty twelve the op3n geronimos and the libtech jib nas any suggestions? oh and im about 5"8' 120 lbs

Aww crap stupid mobile site. Well im 6 foot 190 and I ski around 70 park 30 mountain and need new skis. Im an advanced skier on the mountain but still just doing the basic rails and 3s in the park. I'd like to stick with a more cambered ski because I'm currently on 2009 suspects so I was looking at the armada ar7s and the k2 domains. I'd like to pay in the $400 dollar range or below and I'm also in the market do bindings, i was looking at getting marker griffons. Would the ar7s/domains with the griffons be a good set up or what would be better for around the same price? +k for help!

at your height and weight I'd consider the line chronics. They're also a bit wider to handle pow easily. Got mine a couple months ago and no problems yet

bacons will feel big in the park, but better in powder than the other two because they are wider underfoot. you might look into the k2 kung fujas as another alternative.

+k to answers. This is my first year skiing and i want to buy skis at the end of the year sale on evo. I am planning on getting big into park and jumps. I ski in Wisconsin and i am 5"11 135-140 pounds. I want a decently soft ski to butter but it needs to stiff to hold well at high speeds and jumps. I am a park rat but i also build urban jibs. I don't want to pay more than 350 for skis. I have narrowed it down to the Armada El reys, K2 Domains, or the 4FRNT Clicks. What would you guys suggest? I really need them to be durable enough to last atleast 2-3 seasons. I also need a suggestion on bindings

would you only be skiing in the park. The domains are the only rocker/camber/rocker ski out of the three you mentioned (the other two being camber). If your willing to spend the extra 25, go with the AR7. I believe they're on sale at evo right now for 375. how much are you willing to spend on bindings?

To me it doesnt matter how buttery they are, as long as theyre not stiff as hell. My main point is i need a super durable ski. Ill consider the AR7. I dont want to spend more than $100 on bindings

well if your looking for new bindings under $100 your not gunna find much... maybe on the evo outlet though. At that price your best bet is the Look px12's: http://www.evo.com/outlet/alpine-ski-bindings/look-px-12-80mm-brakes.aspx

Between 5'11" and 6'0" and weigh 165-170 lbs. Currently ski 176 Chronics and 183 Bent Chetlers. I'm looking at either a new pair of Chronics or Some Volkl Walls. Can't decide on which ski or ski length for either. I'm thinking 183 Chronics or 185 Walls because I will center mount the Walls so I would want them longer I assume and I've never skied a center mounted park ski. I'm hesitant to go 185 or 183 though because that's what my Bents are and they are super rockered and ski shorter so I feel like a full camber ski on a 185 or 183 would feel too massive so I was thinking 178 or 177. Just looking for some opinions and advice because I know NS has some great knowledge. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

I'm 5'11
165lbs
Advanced skier (ex racer), pretty new to park, can spin up to 540 happily but haven't hit rails yet, looking to invert and cork after a lot of trampoline practice
I ski in europe
Basically I'd like a stiff ski that I can drive hard when I'm not in the park, and something durable, I've got a choice really between;
Rossignol S4 174/180
Armada AR6 181
Scott Punisher Jib 178

Is it really worth the extra money for the AR7's? Out of those choices, what would you go for?

the chronics won't feel that big in 183. I just went from 167 Dynastar 6th sense Distorters to the 183 chronics this year and I'm already used to it. (Im about the same height and weight as you are). 183 is actually a pretty short pow ski for someone your size, so you should be good with the 183 or 185 center mounted

worst durability i have ever expierienced or heard about in any ski. mine are missing at least 10 inches of edge on each ski, multiple edge cracks, serious topsheet delamination and they lost their pop and responiveness after about a week. i bought them in early january and i had to buy new ones today because the werent even safe anymore cause so much edge was gone. but, i slide a ton of rails and ski like 4 times a week so thats gonna happen but i still only got 2 months out of them.

so, today i needed to buy new skis cause my punishers broke and im on vacation at sugarloaf for the next couple days so i needed something to ski on. theres one shop around here and all they had was dynastar and salomon. i got the 6th sense spins in 179cm and rode them this afternoon and i was a little doubtful but i ended up loving them. pretty stiff, but i noticed a huge difference on jumps. anyone else had these? how did you like them and hows the durability? i havent really seen a bad review yet but the shop sold them to mew for 60% off so i had a feeling somethings up. thanks ns!

I'm about 5'7, 130 lbs i've been skiing for a year and I can 720 and want to start flipping and doing rodeos and corks, I can also back swap flat rails and 270 out of most things fairly easily and occasionally 270 on I currently have 167 line masterminds, but i want better, I prefer jumping and the skis I want to get are either the surface double times, or surface no times, +k for help!!

I'm a beginner park skier 5'11" 145 pounds, I'm looking for a park ski with soft-medium flex also something pretty light-weight. I ski about probably 50-50 rails/jumps. What I'm looking for in this ski is just a bunch of fun something i can butter and bounce around the whole mountain and the park.

Skis I'm considering:

-Next years Line Anthem
-Armada T-Hall
-Armada Ar7
-K2 Domain
-Icelantic Da'nollie

Alright I am a beginner at park skiing and I am looking for a pair of skis that are all mountain/park and won't leave me completely broke (Budget $300-$400). I am 6 foot 1 and 180 pounds and i ski the northeast. I am thinking about some armada el reys or volki ledges. Any help is appreciated!!! Binding suggestion would be appreciated too!

hey guys, i have been skiing on 166 afterbangs for the past two seasons and they are beat after a bad rail accident and im thinking chronics. im 5'11" and 140lbs, what size would be good for me, and should i get this years when they get really cheap over the summer or wait for the new ones in the fall with the rocker and cap-wall construction?? also, price is a pretty big factor in this but if next years really will be worth the extra $$$ then should i get them? help is much appreciated

being 190 pounds, id try to go with the jesters or a higher din binding. not necessarily that you need the extra din range but i think youll appreciate the extra durability that higher din bindings usually have.

id say i hit 60% rails 40% jumps

I wouldn't get 2012's. I would get Punx or Halos out of your options. 2012's have some pretty sketchy reviews. PUNX in general have been great. I know several people with them and all love them. Those would be my suggestion, unless you are open to something new and different that I can suggest...

One of my best friends owns both of the following skis: Majesty Rock n Rolla and the Majesty Comic. They are awesome and he loves them. They both have amazing reviews. I have heard nthing but great things about them. Let me know if you are interested.

Has anybody heard anything about Majesty Skis? I was thinking about the local hero. I ski park 100% of the time in Wisconsin, but when I go to Colorado I want to ski mostly groomers n shit...you know family time.

I am looking for a good park ski that is lightweight and will last 2-3 seasons. I am around 5'8 and still growing (ill probably be around 6'1ish). i am 125 and have been looking at ar7 or thalls. Are there any other skis that would be ideal and if so what size should i get?

Im looking for a playful park ski, something fairly soft that can still charge on groomers. Im not expert in the park, but comfortable spinning off 40ft jumps. Looking to get into the rail and box game more next season, so want it to last..

I ski 70%park and 30%groomers and little powder (eastcost yay)
I ski 50-50 rails jumps
medium-to big jumps (anywhere between 15 to 45+ ft)
I want a buttery ski that can still hold well on big jumps

I considered the
ARV
AR7
domain
punx

so I guess that's it ?
