dope liner company idea

Everyone is always saying how someone should start a newschool boot company, but we all know that it would be nearly financially impossible because of all the shit you need to buy. I thought about making liners that catre to the newschool crowd because in all honesty everything out there sucks for that. you can use a liner in pretty much any boot and it's way less money to manufacture. some ideas i had were an elasticky booster style strap with a ratchet, laces, adjustable heel lift pads using gell or Reebok Pumps, sick heel cushioning, toe bumpers and skate/snowboard boot styling (for shelf appeal). your thoughts?

I hate to say this but the liner isn't going to make a difference if you have a crappy boot. Not really a good idea. A newschool liner w/o a newschool boot isn't gonna work at all.

in theory its a good idea...get a liner with a nice gel tonge, extra padding in the toe area, and a gel heel piece so u dont bruise the shit outve your heel

but people do this already...u can go to surefoot and get custom liners with gel inserts..so as far as the idea goes, its out there

you're right, but it could make a good boote even better. I do all kinds of crazy stuff to my liners.

there are ton's of aftermarket liners out there alreay, not claiming it as my idea at all, but i figure i can design something better than what is out there and market it towards newschool skiing.

sounds sweet, but people prolly wont want to spend a 100-200 for a liner, on top of a 300-500 dollar boot. one of the big boot companies should form a subsidary that IS RUN BY RIDERS AND MAKES NEWSCHOOL BOOTS. THAT WOULD WORK. oh shit, sorry bout the all caps.

What about support as far as shin and calf go? Shock Absorbers would be fucking key, but i think something to prevent shin splints would be something to think about.
