So i have a boot on my car

I decided instead of paying my $400 of parking fines i will simply remove my tire and put on the spare.

yea thats going to be a big FUCK YOU to public safety when they realize their booted car is gone. i will then precede to Home Depot and rent a saw for an hour for about 40 bucks and cut the boot off. I will then place the boot back where my car was booted.

I hope OP updates this thread when the consequences come to light. The feeling of victory will melt away when you realize that there's no way to dodge the tickets or the consequences of stealing the boot and or destroying it. The plate number and your enrollment in the school are going to screw you. Be it the next time you park there, the next time you try to register for class or a letter to the address the car is registered to demanding a bigger amount of money or a court appearance, they will get you and they will guck you with no lube for messing with their equipment. I wish it wasn't true part of me is rooting for you because I hate parking nazis and I resent paying for using the parking lot at the school ipay to attend good luck man. Pray for a miracle

cops pulled me over on my way back to school today. just met with public safety and they thought it was a pretty nifty trick but now i have to pay for the boot which is apparently $175... i mean thats better than $400. i think i win. no criminal records or anything

not registering my car. Didn't have to pay to get the boot off. Therefore I don't pay the tickets.

In order to get teh boot off I would have had to pay all of the fines. Because I took the boot off myself I do not have to pay the fines because my car is not registered with the campus.

The school could press charges against me but because I'm a student etc it's not worth their time. I'll admit that this wasn't the smartest thing in the world but i just saved myself a little money and it was pretty funny to piss off public safety, as I hate them.

you might actually be in the clear as far as the tickets are concerned. now that I think about it, i received a few hundred bucks worth of parking tickets from the campus cops when I was in college. however,i, like you, did not ever register my car with the school. i never paid the tickets and never had any diplomas or transcripts withheld.

please make sure you update this thread and let us know how it turns out.

and maybe i missed the answer to this, but what's making you pay the $175? was that a ticket from the real police, or...?

if they know its him he is screwed. reason? they will withhold his transcripts and credits until he pays them off.

so if actually wants to get a degree, he is going to have to pay those tickets.

I know at the college I went to, the just tacked on the $200 or so in tixs onto my tuition bill. The tixs had been accumulating tho.
