So I have some Lizzies, and I found a few rocks this weekend at Big Sky. I have probably ridden them for 150 days total, and one run this weekend did more damage than two seasons of park, teaching, and freeriding.
Anyway, I pushed the edge inward at the tail, which bulged the base a little bit. I was planning on cutting a hole to get behind the edge, and pull it back out, epoxy everything, clamp and hold for a few days, then base weld.
Underfoot, I clipped a rock and it pushed the edge/sidewall up/out away from the ski. No cracking, but its gonna get water in/get worse... What can I do for that? Should I do the same cut a flap, surgery, epoxy, base weld?
Please don't respond if you know nothing about technical base repair. I am pretty capable, but this is a new one for me.
Also, I want to anchor the edge back in place... Anything that works well for that? I really want to fix these well, they are my teaching skis, and my park skis, and my ride break/half day off skis. I want them to last.
