Loved it except when Tanner and Iberg starting giving a little to much praise to B&E. Honestly what did they do that hadnt been done before?(other than a butter dub) I hope somebody can answer that question.

I thought that was awesome and well thought out. So much probably went into that movie and the product is outstanding! Gets you pumped too. Only part I didn't like was Sig Tveits part, overdone and couldn't take him seriously. Overall thought one of the sickest ski films for sure.

To the guy talking about snowboarding, chaitea, I don't even know what that has to do with this. I guess you should just bash Travis Rice and Art of Flight since he didn't use a fisheye, followcam style filming. He was way too "serious", with all that dangerous big-mountain riding and what not. Especially because he filmed it with nice cameras.

I dare everyone that watched that movie to go out skiing and not try to imitate anything you've ever seen. Don't just try to do a trick, make it your trick, throw your own unique twist into it, shifty something you've never seen shiftyd before, keep it simple if you want. Personally I believe you can have your own unique style without being able to spin more than a 3 and I'd love to see some kids focused on dialing in their own way of skiing as opposed to trying to imitate others.

I'm not accusing anybody of being bad skiers of trying to copy Henrik or Tom Wallisch or anybody else, but there are definitely people who do and I myself am guilty of it too. After seeing that movie though, damn, i'm inspired to find my own style of skiing.

I don't like documentary style films either, but even if you disregard those parts, this movie is incredible. The filming is unsurpassed by anyone else in the ski industry, the cuts flow in a natural and logical fashion, the music kicks ass, the graphic design is tasteful, the entire film has a consistent design, I could go on.

One thing that really stood out is how he made graphics out of quotes and used them as chapter titles. Never seen that before, and it works amazingly well.

I heavily agree with this statement.


On the movie: the depth and sheer amount of insight that the narrative carved out... It was unmatched by any ski movie I have ever seen, very original.

just watched it and must say I really enjoyed it, got me stoked to go skiing. I'm glad the pros are starting to call out the "roboticness" of the sport nowadays, I think it will help make kids think about their own style and hopefully change things up.

You're implying that they had no fun while making this movie...

Also implying that unless you go skater status on your filming, the edit is too serious and therefore no fun to watch. This movie could've had a plethora of fisheye shots and I would've enjoyed it simply because of the awesome narration/skiing.

I enjoyed watching this movie because it wasn't about throwing the biggest spins and flips. It was all about getting out in the mountains or the cities and pursuiting skiing with no regard for if you will succeed or fail.

Tanner has a vested interest in Henrik.  He can't honestly sit there and say that Henrik and Phil came up with this style on their own... go back to 07-08 and watch some 4bi9 edits and see who's jockin' who.  Henrik emulated Tom so bad it was almost embarrasing. Don't get me wrong though, I love watching Henrik and Phil... but they're just picking up and running where others left off.

How by taking parts of other style and making it there own. they've got there own style plain and simple. And Tanner has vested interest in them because he thinks there sick and on another level. Only makes sense

I know this sounds corny and like a little 12 year old...Ian Compton probably won't read this but when I talked to him at mount snow this year on the first day that nitro was opening it felt good. Cuz I always see you in videos but in real life you were that normal person and Ian has inspired me. Sick video it was awesome to listen to Phil and tanner as well.

It's more than just their style that Iber and Tanner are giving them credit for in this video. Go ahead though and name one original thing that either of these guys has brought to skiing... they're pretty much the original 4bi9 crew with more resources and an inflated budget.

You ever heard of a company called Technine? Yeah style biting for days...I just found it funny that Iberg and Tanner were talking about how everyone was copying Phil and Henrik. Tanners newest edits shows how he has changed his style. I dont care how anyone skis, its all good but dont try and act like you started all the trends when they had been done before.

You can't look at B&E from the narrow perspective of what specific tricks they have brought to skiing. It's more fundamental than that. They've successfully taken skiing in their own direction and have lead a large portion of an entire generation of skiers with them. B&E are greater than the sum of their trick repertoire, they represent a distinct and establish subculture within skiing. That's what they've done.


Also, this is the best ski movie I may have ever seen.

such a sick fucking movie. Loved the deepness and insight into some of the pro's thoughts on skiing. I can definitely relate my passion for this sport surpasses everything else by so much.


critically, id say they should have stuck to talking about skiing and not sucking other riders dicks... Im not saying that i disagree with what they said or dislike anyone that got their D sucked, just sayin...

This would have been epic, except there were skiers talking.

Overall I enjoyed the video, but a) freeskiers are some of the most inarticulate people in the world and b) stop talking about style, robots and originality with the same tone as poverty or something.

Great concept I guess, but lay off the heavy interviews.
