Replying to Goggle gap

How do you guys wear your googles? I wear these shitty no name ones because they work well night and day, no need to change googles. That said, they are pretty small, and because I have a huge helmet, I goggle gap like crazy. Normally I just wear a hat and go with the gap because who really gives a fuck? Its just goggles. My boarder friend was telling me "that's how the pros do it" with the hat under the helmet and huge gap. I don't know, doesn't seems popular to me. Spark notes: goggles under helmet with gap because of huge helmet. Just go with it?
