Camera setup help

My current setup is:
T2i
18-55
Vintage Olympus 28mm
Helios 58mm
70-300 kit zoom
Shitty tripod
Glidecam
Speedlight-strobe setup

I have shifted from shooting more video to more photo. My largest gripe about the t2i is lowlight performance

I am definitely upgrading my glass ASAP, but I don't want to sink a bunch of money into canon glass if there is a possibility I go Nikon (d7000? But no 60p)

So I see my options as this:
1. Save money, go Nikon
2. Upgrade glass now, body later
3. New canon body

#2 seems to make the most sense, but the details aren't clear.
I think I'm buying a tamron 17-50 soon and 70-200 in the spring.
But where does that leave me with bodies?
I wouldn't mind either keeping the t2i for video and buying a better photo body(which one?) or selling the t2i and buying a new body for both (7d?)
Advice would be appreciated.

you can definitely knock a couple of stops off by getting good glass, it'd help dramatically

Yea, I think I sort of answered my own question on the glass v body
But, what would be a good body to upgrade to/2nd body, to look at in the future?
