what's the best way to wash a jacket? powder detergent? liquid? hand? machine? hook it up.

powda detergent: cause depending on the kind of waterproofing it can be worn down by liquid detergent.
Also check the labels about putin it in the dryer or not...again with the waterproofing. My jacket says DO put it in the dryer because it's good for it...re-activates the coating.
plus putting it in the dryer makes the fibers come tighter together if ya know what I mean...or maybe that's just a misled theory of mine...alas. :^)
