So for my finance class we're doing the stock simulation throughout the whole semester. Its on marketwatch.com and is completely free.

What do you guys recommend?

haha i actually invested all my money in that right at the start. im not planning on actively investing too much this semester so i thought i would just toss all my money in a volatile stock and just hope for the best. So far im down 3% but oh well.

i'd say apple but they did go up by $80 over the last month...that said, im fairly positive they are going to have a presser about the ipad 3 mid-march and the release date should be shortly there after. apple tv (actual tv) should be coming soon with siri and shit. either way, future looks bright.

other than that, become a day trader and invest in small cap stocks and hope they go up.

look into options trading if that's allowed in your game. you can make some serious bank through them.

haha yeah i didn't really do any research, just went to yahoo finance and saw it was the top percentage gainer today. if you were looking to make money you'd have to actively buy and sell, considering they went up $3 today.

Dont listen to NS, go on well established websites about stocks (not wsj) and read some columns about stock trend predictions, I have the highschool record in my economics class for biggest profit in hypothetical stocks from doing that
