I have some sort of growth on the outside of my right ankle under that ball thing (fibula), pretty small, but it hurts like hell when i put my boots on and it rubs against it. Not sure if its a bone spur or what but anyone else with similar problem?
I have a big 'ol bone spur right below/forward of my ankle, and it did hurt like balls when I skied.
Honestly, the best remedy is to punch it out. Sucks to pay for it, but it's only like 10 bucks and it worked like a charm. It really is something you want to take care of, because they only get bigger when irritated.
I have a bone spur next to my pinky toe, also called "the sixth toe" pretty gross. I know that pain. Feels like your foot has acid on it. I got my boots punched out. I also know people who cut holes in their liners. I've never done it because the thought of chopping my boots makes me die inside, also if you have FT's, i can't imagine it working...But yeah...there's nothing you can do. They go down in the off season, but other wise, the calcium keeps growing and hardening.
Goodluck man.
Just bought full tilts. Forgot about the bone spur in my foot because I didn't notice it when they were getting fitted and my old boots were do sloppy I didn't notice it. I now need to go and get them punched a bit because it hurts in one small spot so bad
well this is awkward, i was kinda being sarcastic... not trying to be a dick here but how do you forget you have a bone spur when you're getting fitted for boots?
I had a bone spur right on my ankle, somehow it caused to me to grow a large cyst right on my ankle after my boots were rubbing up against it (full tilts, lol because they didn't fix the problem). Tried a bunch of stuff, wouldn't drain from needles or anything so I had to get it removed and they grinded my bone spur down. My ankle is still abnormally large but skiing doesn't hurt as much as it did.
Also about the sixth toe thing, I just looked at my feet and I might have another bone spur there, I never really thought it was that until now
yea i got one right where my big toe connects with the rest of my foot on the inside. it really kills in my ski boots but after a few runs i get used to it but its gotten so big that even my comfy sneakers rub against it and bother it. I've been told to get my boots punched out which ive been meaning to do but does anyone know of any treatment (icing it, or ointment/ cream idk whatever) that can help it in general?
