life on this planet is so freaking awesome. pisses me off that people don't care about the state of biodiversity on our planet - background rate of extinction is 1 species every 500-1000 years... we lose 3 a day.... sucks.

FUN FACT: because Koalas only eat gum leaves that are insanely acidic, when a koala is born a mum has to regurgitate something from her stomach that allows her to digest the leaves and the baby eats it so he can also digest it. Without it, the acid would just disintegrate their stomach linings. But mainly....THEY'RE SO FLUFFY!

Seeing Koalas is actually pretty rare. Seeing Kanagroos though....man oh man. There are ALWAYS like 20 in the paddock next to my house.
