my family and i are considering a trip to somewhere in USA, sometime, perhaps next winter, and i was wondering what resort would be good, if we want a condo / flat / cabin somewhere near the hill and just be able to ski primarily park. i thought of breck, park city, whistler etc,... but i know there are so many great options. reccomendations?
All that you named are great! the only others I would say tahoe. Super fun terrain and good atmosphere. anywhere in summit county in Colorado. I really like the atmosphere is winter park. PC was super fun even with no snow, whistler was a blast, Breck was super legit too. The benefit to Tahoe PC and Summit County over whistler if i had to give one is access to other areas in close proximity. If you go to whistler thats where you are going. I know someone is gonna name all the little places that are probobly legit but from a park standpoint ive found Summit County, Tahoe, and Utah to all have great resorts and a multitude of parks to check out in a more condensed area.
I would really suggest you take a trip out to Tahoe and stay in a condo at Northstar-at-Tahoe. You would fly into Reno, Nevada and then take a shuttle, 30-40 minutes up to one of the many condos that have been built around N*.
Northstar has a world class park(a ton of pro snowboarders call it their home mtn including shaun white and torstein). the resort is also very family friendly, and caters to people looking for the whole ski resort atmosphere. It has pretty mediocre terrain, but because you are staying on the north shore of Tahoe(where northstar is), you also have access to Squaw Valley and alpine meadows 20 minutes away.
On a pow day you should absolutely go to squaw or alpine, as they will blow away northstar in terms of terrain. they are world class in terms of terrain.
youre gonna want to come to kissing bridge in new york. the mountains are cray, and if youre willing to drive a little farther you can get to holiday valley. and the beautiful city of buffalo is near, where you can watch the best football team in the NFL bitchezzzzz
Whistler's in Canada? But still dope and keystone is sick so is breck and copper. I'd say go somewhere in Colorado because everything is so close togeather
