WIDER BOXES ?

Hello , so i can slide pipes even rails but when it comes to wider boxes i cant seem to do the right thing.
I know it sounds dumb because it should be a lot easier sliding wider boxes.
And the park thats setup is mostly wide beginner boxes and i really wanna learn how to spin on and off of them but as i said i find it harder just because theres more surface.
So please leave me some suggestions

that's the difference, it's a lot harder to lock and scissor on box. but spinning on? 2in and 4in are a lot easier on box

exactly ;) , heres a trick when you hop on aim for the side of the box so you can scissor your leading ski easier.

classic example is 1:57

well "scissoring" on a rail is pretty natural imo... i learned them just by practicing rails. but on a box, you gotta think about scissoring and when you lock you need a different stance as the the one on a rail.

idk if this make sense lol i could explain it in french but not rly sure how to say it english.

this is all you need to know.

It's way easier to spin on to a wide box, larger margin of error both in terms of degree of rotation (not quite 270, a bit more than 270....no prob) and you can land less than perfectly centered and still stay on the box/your feet.

As for scissoring and spinning off, you need to pay attention to where you land on the box. Andreas Hatveit has a really helpful video trick tip blog in both Norwegian and English if you wanna google that, otherwise, to do front spins out, land with near edge of the box under your toes, or with your heels slightly off to the side of the box so that you can grip the edge with your uphill edge of your front ski. To do blind/back spins, land with your heels on the far side of the bow with your toes slightly hanging off the edge of the box so that you can dip your toes on your front foot to grip and spin out. Booyah.

Andreas, and other jib ninjas, can grip and scissor with their backfoot and can spin out either direction on either side of the box, and the technique is basically the opposite of what I said up top.

Yeah, you just have to scissor and if you're spinning frontside out, just land on the box like this:

Catch your uphill edge of your front ski.

not really. as said before locking is much easier on rails. the worst things to balance/lock on are wide boxes with low/no metal edges.

spinning on should definatly be easier but i find spinning off bars a lot easier than boxes

When you get on a box, go to one side of it. Say you spin to the left, slide the farthest left side of the box. This will help you grip the edge of the box and get your scissor so you can spin and switch up and such.
