So I was just sitting in Denver, waiting for my flight to Durango, watching some Attack of La Nina to get my stoke on for this trip, when i notice. In the meeger group segment when they are doing all the talking and stuff, Ingrid has two Js rolled in her hat. And not that that matters but it really gave me insight to just how many pro skiers toke. please dont karma rape me

I know what you mean man it's hard to explain when you see someone that inspires you to do something and you see a vid of them smoking blunts and shit. I don't really care much about people who smoke but it just makes you feel down when you see something like this. I'm not being a pussy about smoking if your looking at it that way.

lulz. everyone lives their lives differently. It only bothers me when people assume that everyone who skis park smokes weed. I'm down with whatever, but I don't really want our sport to be the sport of stoners.

i found it intersting as well, because any of the higher level "pro" skiers i've shredded with all smmoke weed, but none of them are crazy stoned when they ski. It's just like one joint between five or six people that take the edge off the stress of dropping in to a big line, but won't truly affect your skiing ability

i find american's views on weed to be hilarious. Im not really arguing for or against it here, but seriously, its just weed. So many people smoke it. You dont have to have dreadlocks and go around listening to reggae all day to smoke. There are millions of much more unsuspecting people that smoke weed than Ingrid. Does Ingrid seem to you like a kind of person that wouldnt drink either? Because really what is the difference? Especially when alcohol is far worse for you(not trying to start some pointless drug argument here, as they never get anywhere) haha sorry just kind of felt like going on a bit of rant

You look up to someone who smokes, but cannot get past the fact that they smoke. I'm not at all saying you're a pussy about smoking - to each their own. And to each their own you should live by - there are great people who've produced great thoughts as stoners (whether you knew them to be stoners, or not) and likewise there are great people who never touched weed. Don't let something as trivial as weed dispel you from who you believe they are as a person (someone inspirational like Ingrid). I'm not saying you should ignore everything a person does, but rather that you should be influenced by someone who connects to you - if they connect to you in a deeper sense, trivial details should be overlooked whether you support those trivial details or not.

she is a regular at burning man...and has spent 10 winters of here life cooped up in a remote lodge in BC or Alaska or in Squaw Valley...with male pro skiers who smoke copious amounts of weed...while having to fit in being the only girl 90% of the time...oh yea, she smokes.


She is the best female big mountain skier out there right now too. there has to be a massive competition in Tahoe to see who can wife her up first haha.

That absolutely doesn't matter to me if a pro smokes or not. What bothers me is that it goes on screen ! Okay, i mean they're having good time and that's part of skiing but it's in the duty of MSP to make sure good values are shown. Having said that, I finally don't mind seeing that even pros some times smoke, it makes them more human, more like us :)
